Series Intro

Season 1 Episode 01

“Oh My Car”

Episode One (AF1501) “Oh My Car” is the introductory episode to launch the series “American Fire”. In this episode, you’ll meet Tim and Ron, the owners/business partners who operate Fire Line Equipment and learn how it came into existence five years ago. We’ll hear one of Ron’s stories, this time it is about the infamous shark brought down by buck knife and finally, duty calls as Shannon is called away to tend to a damsel in distress and her burning car.

“Nadine / Rohrerstown / 9-11″

On this episode of American Fire, Fire Line Equipment’s own Used Apparatus Sales Dynamo, Nadine Porman is featured. In her own words she’ll tell us about her long history in the fire service that began as a toddler and continues today, plus we’ll get to meet her “brothers” at the Rohrerstown Fire Department. Followed by a Special tribute to the 343 fallen fire fighters on 9-11 as told by a retired fire fighter and brother of one of the heroes lost that day.

“Reading / Abandoned Car”

On this episode, Shannon Eberly, Shop Supervisor at Fire Line Equipment and Deputy Chief of the Terre Hill Fire Department participates in a Firefighter Exchange by working a twenty four hour shift in nearby Reading, PA. From kitchen fires, electrical smoke and car accidents, it was a jam packed shift in city. Unfortunately, the last call of the night was a traffic fatality on a nearby highway, am impaired driver left the roadway at high speed and struck an abandoned car, the resulting force demolished the truck and ejected one of the occupants over a hundred feet away into a nearby neighborhood. Shannon and the Men and women of the Reading Fire Department were quick to provide expert search and rescue operations, saving the injured passenger and locating the deceased passenger.

Season 1 Episode 04

“Something’s Cooking & Something’s Burning”

This week, Co-Owner/Partner Ron Fink and Roger High man the grill to serve up a special treat to the crew at Fire Line Equipment. Weaverland Fire Department gets juiced at an electrical fire, while the Intercourse Fire Department puts out a barn fire stirred up by high winds. We run across the Swatara Fire Department conducting training exercises at a nearby parking lot and while all of this is going on, the hotel where the camera crew is staying catches on fire, irony? Lastly Kelly meets with customers to outfit a new apparatus before delivery.

“Capital City / Harrisburg”

Episode 5 is an episode shot on the road as American Fire travels to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the state’s Capital. Fire Line Equipment’s own Shawn Smith is the Exchange Fire Fighter this week working alongside the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire. Shawn rides shotgun with Captain Floyd Wise and Lt. Aldo Morelli as they lead their men to battle fires, drugged out psychotics, careless bikers and a series of alarming alarms. It’s non-stop action for these firefighters, call after call, that’s life in the big city.

Season 1 Episode 06

“On My Honor / Scouts”

The shop at Fire Line Equipment is overrun by area Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts eager to learn about the Fire Service, these could be the volunteers of tomorrow, Kelly Saylor and Shannon Eberly take command and show the kids the ropes, the ladders, the apparatus and about everything else they can get their hands on. Later in the episode, Shannon and Steve Boley replace a water pipe on a ladder truck and Partner Tim Ashworth makes a part delivery while we get to tour the awesome facilities of the Lititz Fire Department.

“Memorial Day Motorcycle Ride”

Co-Owners Ron Fink and Tim Ashworth of Fire Line Equipment are close friends as well as business partners, they enjoy each other’s company at work and away and that includes sharing a love of the open road and family. Tim was a US Marine, his father, U.S. Army, 795th Military Police Battalion is deceased and interred at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. On Memorial Day, Tim and Ron make an annual pilgrimage to pay respects to Tim’s parents and pay observance to American’s soldiers. Later in this episode, it’s Truck vs Car in Ephrata without injuries, but a few folks both shaken and stirred.

“Boley’s Boy Goes Racing”

Co-Owners Ron Fink and Tim Ashworth of Fire Line Equipment are close friends as well as business partners, they enjoy each other’s company at work and away and that includes sharing a love of the open road and family. “Life’s A Blast”

The Fire Line Equipment crew is all about work when at the shop and all about service when fighting fire, but when they have time to play, guns may be involved. Joe and Ally visit the Gun Club to down a few clays, and the rest of the crew join Tory at his private range to try their hand at targets, Ron’s 4 for 1 shot may be a record that stands for all time. Plus a brush fire threatens a home until the Blue Ball Fire Department shows up to save the day.

Season 1 Episode 10

“The Fish Are Biting”

The fish are biting in Pennsylvania, The crew at Fire Line Equipment is always involved in their community,. This week, Fire Line Sponsors a Fishing rodeo for senior citizens and Ron looks on, meanwhile across the county, Shannon attends a community Fish-a-rama with his family, a good time is had by all, except maybe the fish.

Season 1 Episode 11

“Watch Jimmy Run / Jeepers Creepers”

This week Jimmy runs, runs and runs to benefit the Bainbridge Fire Department, Shannon catches the mice at play while he was away and ends up on wheels, and the Pennryn and Weaverland Valley Fire Departments join forces visiting the Lancaster County Fire Training Facility and tackle automobile related rescues.

Season 1 Episode 12

“FDIC Part 1″

Ron and Tim of Fire Line Equipment have left Kelly in charge and are off to the world capitol of speed, Indianapolis, Indiana for this year’s ultimate fire convention, FDIC. It so big that it fills three buildings and five parking lots, hundreds of apparatus are on display for over 35,000 firefighters to check out. Meanwhile back at the shop, Boley is putting custom LED brow lights on a new truck and Jimmy applies the the finishing touch to a completed truck, now ready for delivery. Plus Weaverland Valley Fire Department works hard to find a fire victim overcome by smoke.

Season 1 Episode 13

“FDIC Part 2″

Our intrepid duo, Ron and Tim are still in Indianapolis, Indiana at the USA’s largest fire service gathering, FDIC. It’s the place to be every summer when 35,000 fire fighters assemble to see the latest and greatest in apparatus and gear, plus learn the latest techniques in fighting fires, rescue operations, and saving lives. It’s here that Fire Line Equipment’s co-owners meet with and reinforce long standing relationships with vendors and supplies, making sure their customers always have access to the best. Plus we’ll stand-by and observe and the best fire fighters in the country show how a structure fire can be tamed and keep everybody safe in the process, it’s going to get hot, so grab a cold beverage, sit back and enjoy “American Fire”.
